The record is held by Argentinian forward Sergio Aguero, who has 12 hat-tricks, followed by Alan Shearer with 11 and Robbie Fowler with nine. Harry Kane, Thierry Henry and Michael Owen each have eight hat-tricks. It is worth noting that Haaland has now overtaken Uruguayan forward Luis Suarez, who has scored six hat-tricks.

Since joining Manchester City in 2022, Haaland's contract runs until 2027. During his time at the club, he has made 101 appearances in all competitions, scoring 94 goals and providing 14 assists.
